Got FIOS installed earlier this year, but the installation guys were lazy - to save time, they patched in to some of the previous wiring and apparently ran a length of the coaxial cable outside of the wall. Tacky.
So today, I fixed that - ran a cable plus ethernet hardline from my office (upstairs) to the family room (downstairs). Have the FIOS wireless router downstairs, connected to the hardline, going upstairs to an Apple Airport Extreme, which is serving as a signal booster/upstairs router. Great wireless coverage anywhere in the house - the ultimate in nerd luxury.
